Jan. 16— The Faculty Artist Series continues with pianist Kevin Bylsma performing at 8 p.m. in the Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. Free
Jan. 17— The 55th annual Band Reading Clinic, featuring guest conductor Ray E. Cramer, begins at noon in the Moore Musical Arts Center and continues through Jan. 19 with multiple concerts. Guest clarinetist Julian Bliss is sponsored by Rettig Music of Toledo and Conn-Selmer. The BGSU Wind Symphony will perform at 8 p.m. on Jan. 18, and the Concert Band’s recital starts at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 19. The three-day event concludes with a performance by the Honors Band as part of the Band Reading Clinic Concert at 4 p.m. also on Jan. 19. Jan. 17—The Creative Writing Program’s Reading Series continues with a reading by Master of Fine Arts students Justin Carter and Catherine Carberry at 7:30 p.m. at Prout Chapel. The College of Arts and Sciences, the Creative Writing Program and the Mid-American Review sponsor the series. Free
Jan. 18— Students majoring and minoring in dance will perform in “Perpetual Motion” with music by a range of artists from Kurt Elling and Ella Fitzgerald to the Squirrel Nut Zippers. Faculty members, alumni and guest artists will also perform. The performances start at 8 p.m. in the Donnell Theatre of the Wolfe Center for the Arts. Tickets will be available one hour prior to each performance at the Wolfe Center Box Office. General seating tickets are $10

The performance starts at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. Free
Jan. 24— The Graduate Art Student Organization presents a lecture by Gregory Volk, a contributing editor for Art in America and freelance curator. He is an associate professor in both the Department of Sculpture/Extended Media and the Department of Painting/Printmaking at Virginia Commonwealth University. The lecture starts at 7 p.m. in 204 Fine Arts Center. Free
Jan. 24— The Creative Writing Program’s Reading Series continues with a poetry reading by alumna Ann Stranahan, author of “Window on the River.” The College of Arts and Science, the Creative Writing Program and the Mid-American Review sponsor the series. The reading begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Prout Chapel. Free
Jan. 25—Students studying voice performance will perform the work of Gilbert and Sullivan in “Princess Ida; or, Castle Adamant” at 8 p.m. in the Marjorie E. Conrad, M.D., Choral Room of BGSU’s Wolfe Center for the Arts. Free

Jan. 29—BGSU oboe and bassoon students from the studios of Lynne Mangan and Susan Nelson will perform at the Manor House in the Wildwood Metropark of Toledo at 7:30 p.m. Free
Jan. 29—Tuesdays at the Gish opens its spring season with the NextFrame Film Festival, featuring award-winning movies by international student filmmakers on a yearlong tour. The screening begins at 7:30 p.m. in BGSU’s Gish Film Theater in Hanna Hall. Free
Jan. 29—Jazz Lab Band 1, under the direction of David Bixler, will perform with guest artist Don Braden, saxophone. The concert starts at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. Free
Jan. 30—Pianist Solungga Fang-Tzu Liu, gives a Faculty Artist Series performance at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. Free
