On Saturday, February 9 -- Vanimal-tine’s Day -- your favorite Toledo Zoo animals find Valentine-themed treats throughout the day.
Whether you want to show your sweetie that you’re a big, cuddly bear, or that you’re as cute as a couple of the Zoo’s cinereous vultures, share the love at feeding and enrichment activities throughout the day:

Vanimal-tine’s Day is offered free with half-price Zoo admission as part of the month-long Winter Weekends. Visit toledozoo.org/winter to get a schedule of activities or to access a mobile schedule app, so you stay up-to-date on all the great activities when you visit. And if you just can’t wait to get a taste of the fun, check out the Zoo’s iPhone game app, Cocoa Loco; it pits you against the marshmallows of the Zoo’s famous hot chocolate.
In addition to half-price admission in February, the Zoo will offer free admission to Lucas County residents from Saturday, February 16 through Monday, February 18, as a thank-you for Lucas County voters’ longtime levy support of the Zoo.
The Toledo Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 25), four miles south of downtown Toledo. For more information, please visit toledozoo.org or call 419.385.4040. Lucas County residents are admitted free of charge each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. ID showing proof of residency is required.
