Imagination Station (and ELMO) visits Maumee Library
Imagination Station will be hosting an educational event at the Maumee Public Library. Sesame Street’s most beloved character, Elmo, will accompany the Imagination Station team as they promote the importance of science and reading education to children.
Beginning at 9:30am, attendees will be read ‘Ten Dirty Pigs; Ten Clean Pigs’ by Carol Roth and Illustrated by Pamela Paparone. Afterward, Elmo will visit while Imagination Station team members do a variety of Sesame Street activities with the kids.
Elmo is visiting Imagination Station as part of the science center’s traveling exhibition, Sesame Street Presents: The Body which will be in Toledo through January 27, 2013. Sesame Street Presents: The Body teaches families about how to maintain a healthy lifestyle, especially at an early age. The exhibition features three different education zones related to the human body: Your Insides, Your Outsides and Staying Healthy.
