White Star PT Services Triathlon/Duathlon
PT Services Rehabilitation, Inc., along with the Sandusky County Park District and Nomad Multisport Racing are holding a Sprint Distance Triathlon/Duathlon on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 8:00 am at White Star Park in Gibsonburg, Ohio. (901 South Main Street) All Proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. This Sprint Distance Triathlon consists of a 750 meter open water swim, a 12.4 mile (20K) bike, and a 3.1 mile (5K) run. The Duathlon will consist of a 2K run, a 12.4 mile (20K) bike, and a 3.1 mile (5K) run. Both men and women are able to compete, and teams of two to three participants competing as a relay team are welcome as well. The White Star Park Quarry is unique because it provides clean, clear, algae and seaweed-free water for the swim. The bike portion will take place on county roads with crossroads well maintained for the safety of the athletes. The run portion will take place on the park’s well-maintained shady trails. It is a fast and flat course perfect for veteran athletes or those new to multisport events. Also new this year is a 5K Trail Run/Fun Run on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 6:30 pm.
