The days are longer, the skies are bluer and the weather is (we hope) warmer. To celebrate the beginning of spring, your Toledo Zoo offers special discounted admission during the first three weeks of March.

Online coupons at the Zoo’s website – toledozoo.org – offer visitors a 50 percent discount from March 1 through March 10, and a 25 percent discount from March 11 through March 22. It’s the smart way to make an affordable family outing even better.

This discounted Zoo admission entitles visitors to a whole Zoo’s worth of fun, on top of some great activities. These include:

Sat., March 16
Teddy Bear Care Fair
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Get a check-up (and even a quick fix) for your little stuffed buddy as you learn about how the Zoo cares for its own thousands of animals. Plus, if your family’s ready to adopt a real, live pet, the Toledo Area Humane Society will be on hand to help you find the perfect pet.

Wed., March 20
Greenhouse Tour & Container Garden Talk
10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Zoo’s beautiful Greenhouse. Space is limited and registration is required; visit toledozoo.org for details.

Fri., March 29
Animal Egg Hunt
10:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
The Easter Bunny makes a special stop at the Zoo on the Friday before Easter, and he’s leaving treats for some of your favorite Zoo animals to find! It’s not just fun to watch; it also provides enriching experiences for the animals.

The admission coupons are available only online at toledozoo.org.

The Toledo Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and is located on the Anthony Wayne Trail (US 25), four miles south of downtown Toledo. For more information, please visittoledozoo.org or call 419.385.4040. Lucas County residents are admitted free of charge each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon. Valid ID showing proof of residency is required.

The Toledo Zoo is committed to inspiring others to join in caring for animals and conserving the natural world. As part of that mission, the Toledo Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), a leader in global wildlife conservation. AZA member institutions are dedicated to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for visitors and a better future for all living things.
