"The Abolitionists-Part 2" at Way Library February 21
The Reel Opinions with WGTE film series co-sponsored by Way Library and WGTE Public Media presents a showing and discussion of the second segment of the PBS American Experience documentary “The Abolitionists” at the library on Thursday, February, 21. The film will be shown at 10:30 a.m., with a discussion to follow at approximately 11:30 a.m. Refreshments will be served at this free event.
This is the continuing story of abolitionist allies Frederick Douglass, William Lloyd Garrison, Harriet Beecher Stowe, John Brown and Angelina Grimke and how they turned a despised fringe movement against chattel slavery into a force that changed the nation.
