3rd Annual "That’s Me!" Baby and Child Portrait Contest
From March 11 until April 13, 2013, families can have their child’s portrait taken for free by local children’s photographer Kurt Nielsen of Kurt Nielsen Photography, and help Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio in the process!
This photo contest is open to all children ages 12 and under. There is no entry fee, no session fee and no purchase is required to enter or win.
Each fun and candid photo session is meant to showcase each child’s individual personality. Parents are encouraged to bring to the photo session their child’s favorite play items such as their favorite toy, dress-up clothes, dance outfits, sports items, etc. Each “mini” session will consist of between 15 and 20 images. These sessions will be scheduled every 30 minutes starting March 11 and ending April 13, 2013. Parents will get to choose their favorite image to be entered into the contest.
Voting will begin on April 22, and last until April 29, 2013 on Kurt Nielsen Photography’s website. Winners will be announced on Kurt’s website (http://www.kurtnphoto.com) and his facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/KurtNielsenPhotography) on May 1, 2013.

Other prizes will be awarded for 2nd through 5th place.
The first one hundred entries will also receive a goody bag containing items from Sugar Plum Sweets, Jo-Jo’s Original Pizzeria, Jon Frankel Dentistry, FruitBobs by Mel and McDonalds.
With a minimum of $5 donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio, the parent’s will receive a CD slideshow of all of the images for their child’s portrait session.
If parents wish to order prints from these sessions, Kurt will be offering discounted package pricing until April 19, 2013 for this contest.
The Ronald McDonald Charities of Northwest Ohio serves more than 500 families each year. These families can stay at the Ronald McDonald House of Toledo at no cost to them as long as their child is receiving medical care at any of the Toledo area (temporary stay) medical centers or hospitals and can come back as often as needed for follow up care. While staying at the Ronald McDonald House, the families are provided with a safe and comfortable place to relax, eat and sleep. There is no charge to these families for the housing, their food, doing their laundry, parking or transportation to medical facilities. All of this is made possible through the generosity of others like yourself. The need in our area is so great that the Ronald McDonald House is currently in the process of expanding. Kurt Nielsen’s goal with this contest is to raise awareness of how important the Ronald McDonald House is to families with sick or injured children that have to come to Toledo for their treatment.
Kurt Nielsen has donated his time and services to Ronald McDonald House Charities for many years now, along with many other charities such as The American Heart Association, The Red Cross and The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio, just to name a few. This contest is just another way Kurt is giving back to the community and a way the community can participate and have fun doing so.
