Library celebrates Passport Day in the USA
Join us for Passport Day in the USA at the Library from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this Saturday, March 9 at Main Library, 325 Michigan St. FREE parking is available for the day and all customers receiving passport services will get a travel bookmark/brochure. Circulation staff assisting customers will be dressed in red, white and blue!
The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library is an official passport-application acceptance agency at Main Library, 325 Michigan St.
Applications are accepted up to one hour before library closing time, now seven days a week due to the addition of Sunday hours at the Main Library, which is now the only passport acceptance agency in the region open on Sundays.
"We encourage our customers to obtain or renew their passports on this special day. Our passport service also complements other travel resources the library offers," said Cathy Bartel, Library Circulation Manager.
Applications will be accepted up to one hour before library closing time, Monday through Sunday. Along with the federal passport fee, a $25 processing fee will be assessed. Passport photo service will be available for $5.
Applicants should check the travel.state.gov website or call 1-877-487-2778 to confirm the documents needed for their applications.
