Will Rogers featured in free showing of film at Way Library
Way Library continues its Reel Talk classic film series on Thursday, March 14 with the 1933 film “State Fair.” This film has been made three times. This is the original version.
The comedy-drama stars Will Rogers, Janet Gaynor and Lew Ayres. This rarely seen film follows the adventures of a rural Depression-era family attending the Iowa State Fair. The film earned a Best Picture nomination for 1933.
Dr. Jan Wahl, local author, film collector and coordinator of the annual classic film series held at Bowling Green State University’s Lillian Gish Theatre will be the guest speaker.
The film will be shown at 10:00 a.m. Admission and refreshments are free.
