Catholic Club Roof Repairs cCompleted With Grant
The Catholic Club, educational childcare and family center, was able to make much needed roof repairs thanks to a generous $21,000 grant from the Anderson Fund Supporting Organization.
“We are honored that the Andersons Fund Supporting Organization has recognized the Catholic Club’s commitment to serve the needs of all families with young children who want affordable, high quality child care”, said Paul Szymanski, Executive Director. With this grant we were able to continue to provide uninterrupted service to our families, knowing that our roofs would be leak free.
The Catholic Club offers accredited child care for ages 6 weeks to 12 years, swimming lessons, parent education and support, and a Summer Camp. The Catholic Club is comprised of three interconnected buildings and features a full-sized indoor gym, indoor heated swimming pool, outdoor playgrounds, and many additional activity rooms. The grant funds awarded were used to repair the roofs of two of the buildings: the main building and a smaller, adjacent building. Both were in dire need of repair.
The Catholic Club, a non-profit United Way agency, has served thousands of Toledo area families since 1942. It is located at the corner of Jefferson and 16th streets in the Uptown area of Toledo.
Membership is open to everyone.
