Children’s Grief Program to Begin April 15th
Good Grief of Northwest Ohio will begin a grief support series for children and teens, who have lost a family member or friend, on Monday April 15th.
This non-denominational program will be held at CedarCreek Church, South Toledo Campus, 2150 South Byrne Rd. and will begin at 6:45 p.m.
Good Grief of Northwest Ohio is a newly established non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and adolescents find positive ways to work through their grief in a safe and supportive environment.
By participating in support groups with others who have experienced a similar loss, children will learn skills to help them with feelings of anger, guilt, sadness and fear.
Unresolved childhood grief can lead to a lifetime of emotional and behavioral struggles. A parent or caregiver will be asked to attend and participate in adult groups where they can find support and discover positive ways to help their child heal.
Weekly sessions will continue on Monday evenings through June 3.
The program is free and open to the public, however participants must pre-register by April 8th.
