Toledo Opera Guild to Present "Phashion of the Opera"
The Toledo Opera Guild announces its annual fashion gala events for “Phashion of the Opera” to be presented at the Toledo Club. The events will feature a “Peek Behind the Curtain” Reception on April 17 and a formal fashion show on April 18. This year the guild is proud to present New York designer, Michelle Cole, who will exclusively unveil her fall and winter 2013-2014 line at the two events. A native of Guyana, Ms. Cole uses her country as an inspiration for her elegant and unique clothes. An added fashion design attraction is former Toledo resident, Kristi Iagulli who will be bringing her flirty, fun, and fashion forward California designs back home to Toledo.
In addition, local stores: C Sterling Jewelers, Lady C, Pink Door Boutique, President’s Tuxedo, Sophie’s Sister, Ticknor’s Men's Clothier, Vivian Kate, Nina McLemore and Toledo Furs will be participating and showing their new spring lines. Hair and makeup will be done by Salon Hazelton, and stage enhancements will be created by Brooks Florist.
The “PEEK BEHIND THE CURTAIN” Reception will be held on Wednesday Evening, April 17 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. General Admission for the event is $50.00 and tickets are limited. Sip wine, view the silent auction items, savor Chef Mike’s delicious hors d’oeuvres and listen to great music in Toledo Club’s elegant Red Room. Meanwhile, a full dress rehearsal using New York, Miami and local professional models from SB Entertainment Group will be taking place right across the hall. Wander at your leisure, watch the action and meet Ms. Cole at rehearsal completion.
The “PHASHION OF THE OPERA” Fashion Show is on April 18. The Social Hour begins at 10:30 and the fashion show at 11:30 with lunch following. General Admission tickets are $50.00 and Diva/Divo admission is $100.00 and tickets are limited. There is a cash bar for both events. Engage in an hour of friendship, indulge in light hors d’oeuvres, sip a mimosa and then view the elegant fashion show. Lunch in the famous Toledo Club Main Dining Room will promptly follow. Diva/Divo ticket holders receive front row seating for the show and a private dining room lunch with designer Michelle Cole. Additionally, raffle tickets are available for the possibility of winning a C Sterling Jewelers Store $2000 store credit. The jewelry store is located in Levis Commons Center.
