Toledo, Ohio— Cinco de Mayo celebrates Mexico’s rich heritage, freedom and liberty. On Sunday, May 5, the Toledo Zoo shares in the festivities with music, dance and all-day fun. It’s one reason the Zoo has become Cinco de Mayo headquarters for families in the region. You can join in the family-friendly fun with these activities, all free with regular Zoo admission. Events run 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Zoo’s Main Plaza; in case of rain, the activities and performances move indoors to the Museum of Science. 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. DJ Tony Rios 12 – 1 p.m. El Corazon de Mexico Ballet Folklorico Dance Group 1 p.m. Kids, take a swing at our piñata filled with tasty treats! 1 – 2 p.m. DJ Tony Rios 2 – 3 p.m. El Corazon de Mexico Ballet Folklorico Dance Group Follow the festivities at toledozoo.org/cinco.
