Sylvania Area Chamber to Host Downtown Sylvania Car Show
The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the annual Sylvania Car Show on May 18, 2013, on Main Street in downtown Sylvania. Car registration begins at 8AM and Main Street will be closed from Main Street to Erie Street beginning at 7AM. Cars coming in for the show are requested to come up Summit to Maplewood and they will be directed from there. The show will take place from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM – there is no charge to enter but donations are being accepted for the American Cancer Relay for Life being held the following week. The event is being hosted in cooperation with K-100 5/3 Bank, Dave White Chevrolet, the Toledo Blade and Sylvania Advantage. It is anticipated that there will be over 200 magnificent cars on display and awards will be given for the ten best of show cars and three awards will be given for people’s choice. The awards will be given out at 2PM. Guests to the car show can enjoy food, fun, shopping in downtown shops, children’s activities and entertainment from Mitch Kahl. Children can enjoy the Bouncy House and kid’s activities. Additionally, on that day the St. Joseph Parish Festirama, just a block away on Main Street, is in full swing beginning at Noon.
