THE MY MUSIC IS MAJOR EXPERIENCE GIVES YOUNG CREATIVES A PLATFORM
Toledo, OH - The M3 Experience will be giving young artists a platform to display their creative voices to ensure they are still being heard Saturday, April 27th from 4 to 6:30pm. It will be held at 136 Water Street in the Fort Industry Square Building Downtown Toledo. This year they will be highlighting tap dancers from Tahyah’s Dance Studio, student artists from local high schools, students from the Toledo School of the arts will be performing, music from the band Wall Music 2nd Generation, The Young Women of Excellence - YWOE from Elle P. Steward will also be doing a special performance, as well as a special selection from a young up and coming drummer from the Toledo area. This event is not only about giving our youth a creative platform, but it’s about bridging the gap. The creatives of today supporting the creatives of our future and showing them it’s ok to live out their passion. Proceeds will go to the Charles W. McDaniel Scholarship Fund to help young artists further their professional education. Charles W. McDaniel was a well known musician that strongly believed in supporting musical education and musicians all over the nation. This experience is dedicated to him and so many other musicians and artists who helped pave the way for our youth. ABOUT M3 Our premise is to inspire and help develop young artists in hopes to prepare them for their journey as professional artists. We are committed to empowering them to strive for excellence with their talent while providing them with the tools to achieve their goals as professionals. FIRST MAJOR TIER - IMPORTANCE Personal testimonies of how music has impacted their life. SECOND MAJOR TIER - EDUCATION Providing resources for young artists who are seeking musical, vocal and artistic mentoring. And connecting with local schools and organizations to help enhance the creative curriculum. THIRD MAJOR TIER - SCHOLARSHIP Charles W. McDaniel Scholarship Fund OUR PURPOSE My Music is Major (M3) is under the umbrella of the Jeremy Lincoln Foundation and was founded in 2011 by Jelise A. Roberts who is also a member of the foundation. Jelise has a passion for not only music, but art as well. Being both an artist and a musician, she knows the importance of keeping both creative outlets alive for our youth. The My Music Major Experience is dedicated to her grandfather, the late Charles W.
