The Friends of Annaka invite you to join us in supporting Annaka Gilmore in her fight against Autoimmune Small Fiber Autonomic Neuropathy.
Annaka Gilmore was diagnosed with Autoimmune Small Fiber Automic Neuropathy in July 2012. This condition causes damage to the small nerves that supply sensory feelings which help regulate her heart rate, blood pressure, and digestion. It is an autoimmune disease with toxic conditions.
She currently has Gastroparesis (paralysis of the stomach, preventing digestion), Neurogenic bladder (loss of control of bladder), peripheral neuropathy (damage to the nervous system) in her hands, feet, and eyes. This has led to Dysautonomia (malfunction of autonomic nervous system) and she was just diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (a group of inherited, connective tissue disorders that leads to loss of physical strength in her body).
As of 4/30/2013, Annaka is at UTMC due to sepsis in her central line. She needs our support more than ever. Every donation will help in getting her to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota that much faster.
The Friends of Annaka are teaming up with the Mancy's Restaurant Group to host a fundraiser to help pay for some of the rising medical costs facing Annaka and her family. This page also exists to provide an opportunity for the community to encourage Annaka and cheer her on in her fight.

1. Come to Annaka's Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser at Mancy's Italian Grill Sunday, May 19. Tickets $10 in advance, $15 at the door (kids 10 and under free). Tickets purchased at Mancy's Bluewater Grille at 461 W. Dussel Drive, Maumee, Ohio (In Advance) or at Mancy's Italian Grill (The Day of the Event at the Door)
