Braden United Methodist Church announces its 89th Women’s Day celebration to occur
on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. on its premises. The guest speaker will be
State Senator Nina Turner, who represents the 25th Senate District, including portions of
Cuyahoga and Lake Counties. Senator Turner, the eldest daughter of an evangelist, looks
forward to sharing the day and her preaching prowess with all of those who await the
glorious return of Jesus Christ.

The theme chosen for this special day is “The Bride Has Made Herself Ready,” which
references the time when Jesus Christ will return to earth to marry His bride, the Church.
In the Biblical book of Revelation 19:7, it states, “Let us be glad and rejoice and give
Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has made herself

The color chosen to represent the wisdom, honor, power and wealth of this most special
occasion is purple. The ceremony will open with a processional by the Women’s Day
Choir, then followed by a high-energy church service filled with poetry, liturgical dance
and jubilant singing. Senator Turner will then deliver a powerful message about the
importance of every Christian being ready to meet the Savior upon His return.

After the church service, visitors and Braden church members will be welcomed to share
in a reception in the church’s fellowship hall.
