Fall Vegetable Garden Series by OSU Extension, Lucas County

Ohio State University Extension, Lucas County is offering a series of three classes for the home vegetable gardener. Now is the perfect time of year to harvest summer vegetables like tomatoes, summer squash and green beans. It is also the perfect time of year to plan and plant some more vegetables like lettuce, broccoli and more green beans!

Participants can attend one class or all three for a variety of topics such as planning and planting the fall vegetable garden, preserving the summer abundance and seed saving and putting the garden to bed for winter. The Fall Vegetable Garden Series will be held on the third Monday of the month on July 15th, August 19th and September 16th from 6:30-8:30pm at the Toledo Botanical Garden Conference Center, 5403 Elmer Drive, Toledo, OH 43615. The cost for one class is $15 or $35 for the series of all 3 classes.
