Get Grossed Out at the Grossology Exhibit
Get ready to be grossed out, Toledo. Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body is coming to you this fall. Explore why and how your body makes and exudes the oozy, runny, smelly, stinky, flaky stuff that it does.
Based on the bestselling book Grossology, the exhibit uses cutting-edge animatronics and interactive exhibits to explore the ickier side of the incredible, miraculous, disgusting machine that is your body. This exhibit isn't for the faint of heart, but if you can make it through the filthy, slimy grossness, you'll come out the other end knowing every intimate detail of the body you call home.
Who Nose?
Get to know that disgusting thing in the center of your face that you use to smell things. Nigel Nose-It-All will lead you through an interactive tour of how your honker works and the things that can trigger it to stuff up, run, drip, and sneeze. See things you normally couldn't with slides on microscopes.
If that weren't intimate enough, a walk through Tour Du Nose awaits, with 10 incredibly realistic nasal features that give you a true inside glimpse. Finally, play Up Your Nose, one of the grossest games you'll ever come across.
Gas Galore
Burp and belch your way through games like Gas Attack and fill up with interactive displays like Burp Man, who drinks soda until he almost explodes. GI slide your way through a 30-foot tunnel that represents the tubes of the human digestive system -- if you have the guts.
Is There a Doctor in the House?
Learn about your body with a life-size game like Operation, where it takes a steady hand to perform surgery without touching the sides. Don't forget to climb the human skin wall, using warts, welts, wounds, and pimples to grab a hold of while you ascend. Check out the fun that's already been had at this photo display.
The Details
