Library presents Beginning Genealogy

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library presents Beginning Genealogy, a two-part workshop that will teach participants the basics of genealogy research through the resources of the Internet, Census records, magazines and newspapers.

The workshops are presented by Donna Christian and Irene Martin, of the Library’s Local History & Genealogy Department, and held in the McMaster Center of Main Library, 325 Michigan St. FREE on-site parking in the Library’s secure garage is available for workshop participants.

· Session 1 – Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to noon: Genealogy Overview and Researching Census Records
· Session 2 – Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to noon: Researching Newspapers and Magazines and Genealogy on the Internet
