Sylvania Chamber "Almost Oktoberfest" - September 14
The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce and Heidelberg Distributing announce “Almost Oktoberfest” to be held on September 14th at SOMO Park (located in downtown Sylvania, on Main and Monroe Streets and East of the Wingate Hotel) from 4PM – 11:00 PM.
This event will feature unique tastings from micro-breweries from all over the country - Sam Adams Oktoberfest, Great Lakes Oktoberfest, Sierra Nevada, Tumbler Brown Ale, Brooklyn Oktoberfest, German Beer selections, Angry Orchard Hard Cider and Woodchuck Hard Cider along with crowd favorite Coors. Entertainment will include local and regional bands and The Wheeler Brothers are the headline entertainment http://www.newfrontiertouring.com/Artist.aspx?ArtistID=123. There will be food and family activities as well as a large screen television for football enthusiasts.
Tickets to the event are $10.00 and can be purchased at the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce or through PayPal on the website athttp://www.sylvaniachamber.org/AlmostOktoberfest.aspx. The proceeds from the event are used to promote Chamber initiatives including education scholarships, economic development, area beautification, retail assistance and grants to local service organizations.
