Children’s Theatre Teen Play Tackles Eating Disorders
Children’s Theatre Workshop is opening its 2013-2014 with EAT (It’s Not About Food), a drama by Linda Daugherty which examines the stigmatized and often-dismissed world of eating disorders. In a compact 60 minutes, the Teen Company of CTW presents characters with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorders, along with a host of other characters connected to these diseases.
Often funny, yet ultimately sobering and thought-provoking, EAT (It’s Not About Food) will be presented at the Tansey-Zimmerman Theatre in the Collingwood Arts Center on October 25, 2013 at 8:00 pm and October 26, 2013 at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Tickets are $3 for students with valid student ID, $6 for seniors, and $8 for adults, and can be bought at the box office the day of the performance.
