Be as Unhealthy as Possible on Bacon Fat Tuesdays
Toledo is currently ranked as the seventh fattest city in the country. If Burger Bar 419 has anything to do with it, sixth place is a goal that is well within reach. Look out, Myrtle Beach-North Myrtle Beach-Conway, S.C. (yes, that's actually the name of America's sixth fattest city), Bacon Fat Tuesdays are here.
Mmmmmmm. Bacon Fat.
Obesity, largely the result of poor diet and lack of exercise, is one of the biggest health disasters facing America today. No one - including the fine people at Burger Bar 419 - is saying to fry everything you eat in bacon fat every Tuesday. Just every other Tuesday.
Are you one of those people who knows something might not be great for you, but you do it anyway if it tastes good? Good. Bring your appetite to Burger Bar 419 on the second and last Tuesdays through December, where they will be kind enough to fry all of your food - that's everything you eat - in bacon fat. You'll quickly understand why Bacon Fat Tuesdays is sticking to the imaginations of Toledo's residents like cholesterol sticks to the arteries.

About the Burger Bar
The concept of Burger Bar 419 revolves around the owners' love of two things: comfort food and Toledo. For creators Moussa Salloukh and Tony House, life and business is all about the 419. They get their meat from a local butcher and their produce from a local grocer. The art that dons their walls comes from local artists. They're even expanding on Toledo's rich music scene by opening up a showcase for local talent to perform.
Although Bacon Fat Tuesdays is a meat-eaters paradise that might not be for everyone, their homestyle comfort food theme applies to all palates and styles, including vegetarian cuisine.
Toledo's restaurant scene is awesome and getting better every year. There are a ton of places from which to choose, but none of which are as committed to recreating the comfort of childhood and your mother's cooking like the boys at Burger Bar 419.
Bacon Fat Tuesday is the pinnacle of the type of dining that lets you delve in and forget your troubles - and your exercise regimen. Come down, grab a table, and think about adding another notch to your belt.
