"Every Little Crook and Nanny" to Open in Fremont
Fremont Community Theatre, with special permission from Eldridge Plays and Musicals, opens their 58th season with “Every Little Crook and Nanny”, by Pat Cook.
In the spirit of Frank Capra, this family-friendly, comedic tale of a bank heist and three retired nannies has all the classic comedy twists and surprises fit for any audience. Lillie Scones is a sweet retired nanny who runs a boarding house with one resident and "a cat the size of the Louisiana Purchase." Her two friends, Jocelyn and Carmella, help to pass the time by listening to music and gossiping. Then Stuart, an old charge of hers, rents a room. Lillie is tickled to have him around again, not knowing he is planning on robbing the bank on the corner. Throw in Stuart’s allergic partner in crime, a lovely young student, a chief of police, a suspicious fiancé and a half-pint brat with an "Al Capone do-it-yourself tool kit," and nobody knows what will happen next.
Performances of “Every Little Crook and Nanny” will be held September 27 -29 and October 4-6 at Fremont Community Theatre, 1551 Dickinson Street in Fremont. Friday and Saturday evening performances are at 8:00 pm and Sunday matinee performances are at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $10 for seniors and students and $12 for all others.
