Way Library to show Jackie Robinson film on October 1
Way Public Library will show the feature film ‘42’ on Tuesday, October 1 at 2 p.m. on the library’s lower level. This is a free screening of the inspiring life story of Jackie Robinson, the first African American Major League baseball player, and his history-making signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers under the guidance of team executive Branch Rickey. Released early this year, the film stars Chadwick Boseman, T. R. Knight, and Harrison Ford.
This adults-only event is part of Way Library’s ‘Show Me the Movie’ contemporary film series which is sponsored by Skotynsky Financial Group, LLC. Light refreshments will be served.
