Foreign film "The Thief" to be shown at Way Library on 10/11
Way Library announces the second film in its Reel Art International and Art Film Series, now in its 10th season. On Friday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m., "The Thief," a Russian film with English subtitles, will be shown in the library’s Mercy Family Activity Room on the main level.
Skillfully and beautifully photographed, “The Thief” is a rueful drama about a single mother with a young son and the duplicitous soldier she meets and desperately allows into their family. Set in Stalinist Russia, this compelling story of bitter love and fatherly betrayal garnered numerous awards, including a Best Foreign Film Oscar nomination.
