The Family Fall Festival is a fun time for families on the grounds of the Wolcott House Museum Complex. Children can have fun dipping candles, making a tin-punch ornament, make a fun toy, play old-time games, make a scarecrow and cornhusk doll and much more. The log house will be open for visitors to view pioneer life and the Native American trunk will be available for children and adults to examine its contents. Take a break from the activities to frost and decorate a pumpkin cut-out cookie and enjoy a cup of punch or cider. A dulcimer group will be playing from 1pm-3pm and a docent will be telling stories in the log house.
New this year, weather permitting: Antique tractors and a firetruck will be on display next to the farmhouse and children will have the opportunity to sit on them so parents can take their picture. A horsemanship demonstration will be given and children can feed and help groom the horse. In front of the caboose there will be chickens which the children can feed and also a rabbit to hold and pet.
