Battle of the Inland Sea

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library presents Battle on the Inland Sea from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, November 2 in the McMaster Center at Main Library, 325 Michigan St.

On September 10th, 1813, Oliver Hazard Perry led his squadron into one of the most significant battles in the War of 1812. In commemoration, the Library presents Jeremy Meier performing his brilliant one-man show as Commodore Perry, recalling the challenges of building a squadron in remote frontier wilderness and the climactic battle that preserved the Old Northwest for the United States.

Also appearing:
Fiddlesix, a musical group bringing the music, instruments and attire of the early 19th century, Fiddlesix has played at reenacting events in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, including The Henry Ford Museum at Greenfield Village, the River Raisin National Battlefield Park, and Fort Meigs.
