Mark Your Calendar for Rockapella Holiday!
For one night only, on November 30, 2013, Toledo Symphony welcomes Rockapella to its stage for the Rockapella Holiday Show. This group has delighted audiences with their unique blend of rock and roll with a cappella music.
Rockapella has released 18 albums in the United States and overseas including three compilation albums in Japan. All albums and performances are done without the assistance of musical instruments. Group members use their voices and their bodies to create all the sounds audiences hear during the concerts.
Over the years, members have changed. Some have come and gone, but the group has remained true to its calling of providing beautiful music to audiences around the world.
The Rockapella Holiday performance consists of holiday favorites such as:
- "Angels We Have Heard on High"
- "The Little Drummer Boy"
- "Little Town of Bethlehem"
- "Christmas Don't Be Late"
- "Wonderful Christmastime"
As well as a few songs audiences may not know by heart. These include "Matunda Ya Kwanzaa," "Ukranian Carol," "Christmas Altogether," and "Happy Christma-Hanu-Kwanzaa Holiday."
The show takes place at 8:00 pm on November 30 and lasts until approximately 10:00 pm. It takes place at Stranahan Theater on Heatherdowns Blvd. in Toledo.
Anyone with questions should call Toledo Symphony at 419-246-8000.
