For a quarter century, the Toledo Blade has been the driving force behind a fun, friendly, family-oriented holiday festival that signals to everyone in Toledo that the holidays are almost here. Now, it's time once more as people from Ohio and beyond gear up for The Blade 26th Holiday Parade. Sponsored by Taylor Automotive Group, the parade drives business to the area and boosts the image of Toledo to the rest of the country.

Holidays Around the World

On November 16, starting at 10 a.m., the parade winds its way though Downtown Toledo. You won't want to miss the festivities - Toledo has gone global. This year's theme is Holidays Around the World. Learn about the diverse and exciting holidays celebrated by people of different cultures, countries, and regions. Take a tour of the entire globe and meet all of its people without ever leaving Toledo.

A Boon for Business

For businesses, it's a great time to sell merchandise, meet new customers, market your products and services, and make contacts. It's a once-a-year opportunity for merchants, as people from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan - and their wallets - are driven to Downtown Toledo for a day of fun, family, and hopefully shopping. Previous years have featured marching bands, floats, balloons, clowns, themed prizes and toys, horses, soap-box cars, a visit from Santa, and even a local Olympian. The sidewalks are sure to be filled with spectators eager see the parade and all its antics rolling down the street.
