On Friday November 8th, we will have a fundraising event at The Art Supply Depo. This event has the purpose to raise funds for Toledo Streets Newspaper. This is the Facebook event link: https://www.facebook.com/events/563521383726399/

Pretty much this is the most happening event going on in Toledo in the next couple months... Only 20 SPOTS... lots of amazing benefits like a glass from Gathered Art Gallery and Studios, hand painted ornament from Art Depo and food from great places like Capers, Balance Grill, Koreana, BurgerBar419... not to mention you are supporting a great organization in Toledo that employees the homeless.

So, if you were wondering how to get your tickets this is how.
1. Click the GET TICKETS link on the event description (http://toledostreets.org/support/). This will take you to the Support page of the Toledo Streets website.
2. Click the DONATE button, and on the donation section select the empty space with the contribution amount (which will be $75 for one person, or $140 for two people).
3. Insert the security code and click continue, here you can insert your paying information.
4. Click SUBMIT, then you will receive an email with a receipt which also serves as your IRS Income Tax documentation.
5. FINALLY, forward this receipt to ana@toledostreets.org or jamie@toledostreets.org, and we will confirm you back.

THANK YOU for supporting Toledo Streets Newspaper!!
Without you we would not be able to fulfill our mission to empower the unhoused of Toledo.

More about Toledo Streets:
Toledo Streets is a Toledo, OH based street paper founded to benefit the unhoused and formerly unhoused who are trying to change their lives by helping them to feel empowered and dignified through work and community. As vendors, they are able to sell the paper at a 75% profit to themselves to help supplement their income and learn to be self-sustaining. As contributors, they have the opportunity to have their voice – their opinions, experiences, and news – to be read by the local public in order to raise awareness of the issues facing those who are unhoused or formerly unhoused. Toledo Streets is part of 1Matters a recognized, city-wide, charitable, philanthropic organization that has been awarded a 501-C (3) designation by the Internal Revenue Service.
In this year, Toledo Streets registered more than 100 vendors, sold over 16,000 copies of eight new editions covering diverse topics touching poverty and homelessness – like reentry, foster care, and veterans – as well as feature interviews with the likes of the Dalai Lama.
I am addressing you and your organization because of the values you support, and how you give importance to improving your community. Without you Toledo Streets would not be able to continue happening, and we hope that Toledo Streets continues to make a difference in our city. As you know, Toledo Streets depends on advertising, donations and subscriptions in order to be sustainable. Since we have a policy of prioritizing benefiting the vendors, we decided not to raise the purchase price (for vendors) of each paper, which was the easiest option, but that goes against our mission. Instead we are seeking strategic relationships and organizations that are willing to sponsor one issue at a time, as well as donations, subscriptions, and the help of those willing to raise resources for Toledo Streets and what it represents.
