Indian-Hindi Film at Way Library November 22
Way Library continues its Art and Foreign Film Series with “Dhobi Ghat,” also known as “Mumbai Diaries.” In this enthralling film, four residents of Mumbai/Bombay pursue their different quests. The director exposes the slums alongside the haunts of the wealthy, revealing that class continues to create an abyss between the rich and the poor. Released in 2011, “Dhobi Ghat” was nominated for the British Academy of Film and TV Arts (BAFTA) award for 2012.
This Hindu-Indian language film with English subtitles will be shown at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 22 in the Mercy Family Activity Room on the library’s main level.
