Toledo Rep presents ‘A Christmas Carol’ Dec. 6-8 at the Valentine Theatre
The Toledo Repertoire Theatre presents the classic, seasonal production, A Christmas Carol, live on stage December 6-8 at the Valentine Theatre, 400 N. Superior St. Based on the original story by Charles Dickens and revised by David Jex, Debra Ross Calabrese, and James M. Norman, The Toledo Rep’s annual holiday gift to the community returns to the beautiful Valentine Theatre for one weekend. Scrooge, Marley, Tiny Tim and a cast of nearly one-hundred will take to the stage, with incredible voices, wonderful music, beautiful costumes and a story that transcends time. Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Auditions for Young Rep’s ‘MacBeth, A Kid’s Cautionary Tale’ to be held Dec. 7 at 10th Street stage
Auditions for the Young Rep’s MacBeth, A Kid’s Cautionary Tale Concerning Greed, Power, Mayhem, and Other Current Events will be held at the Toledo Repertoire Theatre, 16 10th Street on Saturday, December 7 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Directed by Amy Heuring, this play was adapted by Nancy Linehan Charles from William Shakespeare’s popular tragedy into a shortened, kid-friendly version involving witches, storytellers and audience participation. Young Rep auditions are open to children ages 7 to 13. The cast is comprised of up to 28 characters, including two male and seven female principal roles. Audition materials are available from the Toledo Repertoire Theatre office during business hours, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or on the web site at www.toledorep.org.
