Auditions for Young Rep’s ‘MacBeth, A Kid’s Cautionary Tale’ to be held Dec. 7
Auditions for the Young Rep’s MacBeth, A Kid’s Cautionary Tale Concerning Greed, Power, Mayhem, and Other Current Events will be held at the Toledo Repertoire Theatre, 16 10th Street on Saturday, December 7 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
Directed by Amy Heuring, this play was adapted by Nancy Linehan Charles from William Shakespeare’s popular tragedy into a shortened, kid-friendly version involving witches, storytellers and audience participation. Young Rep auditions are open to children ages 7 to 13. The cast is comprised of up to 28 characters, including two male and seven female principal roles.
Audition materials are available from the Toledo Repertoire Theatre’s office during business hours, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or on the web site at www.toledorep.org. MacBeth, A Kid’s Cautionary Tale runs March 14-16, 2014.
