Way Library announces new "Baker's Way" collection
Thanks to Perrysburg resident Mary Turain, Way Library has begun circulating cake pans. When Mary decided to downsize her substantial collection of cake pans, she generously offered to donate them to the library. The new collection, called “Baker’s Way,” includes round and square tiered pans, character pans such as Mickey Mouse, Blue’s Clues, and Smurf, as well as many other shapes, such as a baby buggy and a football helmet. When all have been catalogued, there will be more than eighty pans in the Baker’s Way collection. The pans are now available for checkout, and the loan period is two weeks. Look for the new Baker’s Way section on the main floor, just past the holds shelf. A cake decorating class led by Mary Turain will be held on February 13. Sign-up information will be posted on the library’s website at waylibrary.info in early January.
