Way Library launches new collection with drawings, class
Way Library is now circulating cake pans. The new collection, called “Baker’s Way,” includes more than 70 round, square, character and other shaped pans. The loan period is two weeks, and the cake pans may be found on the library’s main level, just past the holds shelf.
To help launch the Baker’s Way collection, the library is holding a weekly drawing through February 12 for $20 gift cards plus a Grand Prize drawing for a Deluxe Cake Decorating Starter Kit on February 13. Entry forms may be found on the main aisle display and near the cake pan collection. In addition, registration is now underway for a cake decorating class led by professional cake decorator Mary Turain to be held on February 13 at 2:00 p.m. Class size is limited, and a fee of $10 for supplies is due at the time of registration. Participants will decorate a six-inch round single-layer cake while learning basic techniques such as borders and flowers.
