Way Library screens classic comedy 'Bachelor Mother' Feb. 13
Way Library continues its classic film series Reel Talk with ‘Bachelor Mother.’ This delightful 1939 comedy from RKO Studios stars Ginger Rogers and David Niven. Ginger stumbles upon an abandoned newborn and unwittingly becomes guardian for the baby. Everyone assumes the foundling is hers and soon begin casting aspersions on her being single. Co-starring is popular character actor Charles Coburn, who mistakenly thinks he is the child’s grandfather. Garson Kanin directs in one of his first efforts for the screen. Golden-age Hollywood at its best.
Mike Hough, Toledo resident and longtime area film buff will be the guest speaker. ‘Bachelor Mother’ will be shown Thursday, February 13 at 10:00 a.m. Admission and refreshments are free.
