TSA TO HOLD SECOND SONGS FOR OUR SISTER CONCERT NEXT MONTH
Toledo School for the Arts will hold this year’s second Songs For Our Sister fundraising concert on Sunday, February 23rd at 4:00pm at The Toledo Club. These concerts support The Mary Ann Russo Jazz Memorial Scholarship, providing funding for private vocal jazz lessons at TSA, several student grants to attend the BGSU New York Voices Summer Jazz Camp, and an annual senior scholarship.
This edition of the Songs for Our Sister series is entitled Duos and Duets. The concert will feature vocal duets and singer-musician pairings.
For the first time in Songs for Our Sister’s six year history, a number of jazz vocal students will pair up with top professional vocalists. The roster includes Lori Lefevre, Kim Buehler, and Ramona Collins who founded Songs for Our Sister.
Collins elaborates on the concert mission by saying, “It’s always been about the students and giving them the support they need to follow their musical dreams. Duos and Duets promises to be great fun for all, so don’t miss this show!”
