Program on Explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton at Way on 2/20

By popular demand, Way Library presents the continuation of “Chasing Shackleton”. This documentary film follows an expedition that recreates Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Trans-Antarctic Expedition, launched in 1914. A modern-day crew of five intrepid explorers attempts to duplicate Shackleton’s epic sea-and-land voyage in a replica of the original explorers’ lifeboat, James Caird, using only the tools and supplies his team used.
This free program, co-sponsored by WGTE and Way Library, will be held on Thursday, February 20 at 10:30 a.m. There will be an opportunity for discussion following the screening. Refreshments will be served.
