Toledo Rep to present special Valentine’s Day event “Love Letters” this weekend only
The Toledo Repertoire Theatre will present a special event performance of “Love Letters,” a comic-drama recollection, directed by Barbara Barkan, February 14-16 on the 10th Street stage (16 10th Street, Toledo, OH 43604). This Pulitzer Prize-nominated play by A.R. Gurney follows Melissa and Andrew, who are seated at separate tables, reading letters exchanged over a lifetime between the two. Their hopes and dreams, successes and failures are shared over the course of a 50-year relationship in touching and often humorous honesty. Following an untimely death, the very last letter is read, revealing just how much they really meant to each other.
“Love Letters” is a Valentine’s Day Special Event weekend, featuring two different actors for each performance:
February 14 - Paul Causman & Shirley Williams
February 15 - Joe Capucini & Kate Abu Absi
February 16 - Jeff Bell & Barbara Barkan
