Way Library presents two screenings
Way Library continues its Show Me the Movie series with Lee Daniels’ “The Butler,” released in 2013. “The Butler” is a biographical drama which follows White House butler Cecil Gaines (portrayed by Forest Whitaker) through the terms of eight presidents. See how the civil rights movement, Vietnam, and other major historical events affected this man’s life, family, and American society. Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Vanessa Redgrave, and David Banner also star in this film which has been nominated for more than thirty awards.
Showtimes are 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6. No reservations are required, and admission and refreshments are free.
