For the Love of the Child -Vintage Inspired Children's Items
Opening April 1, 2014, For the Love of the Child is a new vendor opening inside of D'Vine Designs Antique Store in Downtown Perrysburg. We are a vintage inspired children's boutique specializing in painted furniture, accessories and handmade children's clothing, baby blankets, burp cloths and shower/new arrival gifts. We are so proud to state that we are a 'green' company. We take what is old and recycle it into something new without using any chemicals. Our paint is milk paint. If you are not familiar with milk paint, it is paint that originated in a more primitive time when latex paints were not yet available. Milk paint is made from milk proteins, clay, limestone and natural pigments. This paint is completely unpredictable, but, that is what gives our items that aged, worn look that is so highly desired today. All fabrics, although new, are also pre-washed/ shrunk in Dreft detergent, known to be the most gentle detergent for your new baby. And, no chemicals were used in the drying process either, instead, a nice blend of essential oils and epsom salts. In an environmentally conscious world, we are pleased that we have upheld our part and hope that you will take a stroll through a locally owned shop filled with unique vendors.
