Central Catholic Spring Musical - The Music Man
Central Catholic High School will present its 85th annual spring musical, The Music Man, May 2-4 at the Valentine Theatre in downtown Toledo. Show times are Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 3:00 p.m.

The leading roles are senior Hunter Riccio as Harold Hill and sophomore Taylor Osting as Marian Paroo. The cast is made up of members of Central Catholic’s Glee Club, and the pit orchestra and stage crew will also include Central Catholic students.
The Music Man plot focuses on con man Harold Hill, who poses as a boys' band organizer and leader. He also sells band instruments and uniforms to naive Iowa townsfolk, promising to train the members of the new band. But Harold is no musician and plans to skip town without giving any music lessons. Librarian and piano teacher Marion begins to fall in love with Harold, and he risks being caught to win her. In 1957, the show became a hit on Broadway, winning five Tony Awards including Best Musical, and running for 1,375 performances.
