Appalachian Trail Adventure chronicled at Way Library
On Wednesday, May 14th at 7 pm, Cheryl “Clinker” McCormick of Sylvania Township will speak about her experience doing a through-hike on the Appalachian Trail. Ms. McCormick began the 2,187 mile, 6-month journey from Georgia to Maine on her 63rd birthday and completed the trek 165 days later.
The Appalachian Trail stretches from Georgia to Maine and is approximately 2,200 miles long. It is estimated that 2-3 million people visit the trail each year. You can hear all about her incredible moments on the trail at this fascinating presentation.
The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
