Unison Launches "Just Don't" Prevention Campaign

Posted: Thursday, May 8, 2014 by: Kitty Slight | Category: Community Interest

Unison kicked off their “Just Don’t” prevention campaign on May 1, 2014. Funded by the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Lucas County, the goal of the campaign is to increase the community’s perception that the use of alcohol and substance abuse are risky behaviors. Impaired driving and its consequences can seriously alter or even destroy lives and property in a moment. This reckless behavior not only includes drunk driving, but also the growing problem of drugged driving.

The “Just Don’t” prevention campaign is a universal advertising campaign, utilizing a variety of platforms, which will run for seven consecutive months beginning in May and ending in November. Components of the campaign include Cinema Advertising at Franklin Park 16 and Fallen Timbers, Television Advertising, Commuter Advertising and distribution of tools that primary care and emergency room physicians can utilize to identify at-risk individuals.

With nearly 40 years of experience, Unison Behavioral Health Group is the community’s recognized and preferred leader in caring for the integrated mental health and substance abuse needs of adults, children and adolescents.
