East Toledo Arts Initiative: Artists in Action
The East Toledo Phase One: Public Fixtures call for artists was a resounding success. From the submissions, a design review board selected 18 designs to be painted on trash cans. The locations of the trashcans stretch along Main St. from Front St. to Starr Ave.
On Saturday, May 24th from 12:00-4:00pm multiple artists will be painting their designs on-site. Local businesses, many of which sponsored the project, will also be in on the action.
In conjunction with the public fixture project, LeSo will also be installing two more murals on the corner of Starr Avenue and Main Street, adding to the previous seven that are currently on display.
