1960s British Invasion Cover Band The Nu-Tones
The Nu-Tones, the popular Toledo-based band described as "The Best in British Invasion Rock-n-Roll" will play Saturday, July 12 at Centennial Terrace in Sylvania, Ohio, to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles first U.S. appearance. The band is a special guest of featured act, “1964” …The Tribute, widely proclaimed the best Beatles tribute band touring the world today.
This will mark an unprecedented ninth time The Nu-Tones will share the stage with “1964” at Centennial Terrace. Their dynamic presentation of music from groups that followed the Beatles over the pond during the ‘60s British music invasion such as The Who and the Rolling Stones optimally sets the stage for the headliners. According to Paul Juhasz of The Nu-Tones, “Rarely does “1964” appear with a supporting act. A polished band with a strong set list is required to fit the bill. Having been invited to work with them consistently for nearly a decade is an overwhelming endorsement of our show from the hands-down most authentic Beatles tribute band and their fan base.”
The opening act of the Beatles 50th U.S. invasion anniversary celebration is Toledo’s Jaime Mills. Centennial Terrace gates open at 7 p.m. the night of the show. Tickets are on sale now through eTix.com and the Stranahan Theater box office, with tickets also available at Centennial Terrace the day of the show.
