31st Annual Rib-Off to Rock the End of Summer—No Matter What
The Taylor KIA 31st Annual Northwest Ohio Rib-Off, presented by The Blade, will take place August 7, 8, 9 and 10, 2014 at the Lucas County Fairgrounds in Maumee, this weekend- no matter what, says Mike Mori, director of sales for The Blade and coordinator of the event.
Mr. Mori continues, “We are thrilled that the water advisory has been lifted by Mayor Collins; however, if it becomes a problem again we are fully prepared with tankers full of fresh water to fully execute the event. The really big news is that the weather will be perfect!”
The award-winning grill-masters have begun arriving from all over the country and are setting up their grills and smokers in preparation for the event.
The music begins Thursday night with American funk band, War; on Friday, Detroit native Ted Nugent will rock the fairgrounds; and Saturday’s highlight will be Dennis DeYoung and the Music of STYX.
Tickets for War are $6 in advance and $10 at the gate. VIP Seating Tickets for War are $22.50 in advance. Tickets for Ted Nugent are $8 in advance and $12 at the gate. Hours for the Rib-Off are Thursday, August 7, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday, August 8, noon to 11 p.m.; Saturday, August 9, noon to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, August 10, noon to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday admission is free until 3:00 pm. Sunday admission is free all day, and is sponsored by Cedar Creek Church, which will also provide the music for the day.
