49th Annual German-American Festival: Fun Galore!

TOLEDO, Ohio, Aug. 19, 2014—The beer is chilling, the brats are ready for grilling, the potatoes are being peeled and the strudels are calling your name! This weekend, Aug. 22-24, the German-American Festival will take place at Oak Shade Grove, 3624 Seaman Road, Oregon, Ohio.

“Each year the festival just keeps getting better and better,” explained Timothy Pecsenye, Festival Chairman. “We strive each year to make the festival the most memorable and fun event of the summer, and this year will be no different.”

With an enormous 49-fold selection of the best and most authentic German and Swiss food you will ever encounter, no one will leave hungry. No one will leave thirsty either as the Festival boasts a German beer selection larger than that of Oktoberfest in Germany.

The highlight of the festival is definitely the headline entertainer, Grammy award nominee Alex Meixner Band from Palm City, Florida. He will be performing along with many other Germanic and ethnic bands.

Known for its abundance of activities and entertainment for all ages, the German-American Festival is a weekend that you definitely do not want to miss. Mark your calendars and join the party that will be happening all weekend.
