BEYOND WORDS Exhibit features 200+works by 72 Artist/Authors
The PRIZM sponsored “Beyond Words Exhibition” features paired ART and LITERATURE COLLABORATIONS by local authors and artists and will be on Display Sept. 8th thru Sun. Nov. 2nd at the Main Library Gallery. This FREE and open to the public event features some of the best local talent who accepted the challenge to create new works inspired by the work of someone else. This year long project has resulted in an outstanding exhibit of over 200 works by 72 artists and authors. The pairs of works are on display side by side.
A gala opening reception with great food, music and short awards program in the McMaster Center, and Main Library Gallery will be held on Thurs. Sept. 11th from 6-8 p.m. Vote for the people’s choice award until 6:30 p.m. when winners will be announced during the 7 p.m. program. This is a juried exhibition. All art and literature will be judged on individual merit. In addition seven outstanding collaborations will be selected to be honored. Jurors for the exhibition are: Andrew L. Kuebeckl , Artist, Instructor BGSU School of Art, Benjamin Malczewski, Humanities Director, Toledo-Lucas County Main Library, and Kathy Genzman, Artist and Retired Art Instructor for The Toledo Public Schools and the University of Toledo.
